Idk if this is just how/where I grew up but I was always told a baby shower is for the first baby and a sprinkle is when you have a baby that’s a different gender. If you have multiples of the same gender it’s considered “tacky” to ask for gifts and have a baby shower.

Yes because they’re 12 years apart. This is a quadruple rainbow baby. I have one tube due to an ectopic which I bled internally for a week and almost died. We were told we needed IVF to get pregnant at all and she happened naturally the cycle we were about to start. So my thoughts were this little lady deserved a shower.

I personally feel like it doesn’t matter how many kids you have or the genders. If you want a baby shower have a baby shower! Ppl say it’s selfish to ask for gifts if you’ve already had that gender but some ppl have surprise babies or give stuff away. People should do whatever they want, it’s beautiful to celebrate a new life💕

We’re having a shower, our youngest child is 10, so it’s been quite some time.

I plan to have a little party when baby is a month or so. Make it more about visiting us, but they could bring a gift if they’d like. We aren’t finding out the gender, and have kept everything from our 2 year old son. So if it’s a boy we are pretty well set.

I’m having a sprinkle for my second girl. I didn’t want one bc I didn’t want to look gift grabby when I already have most of the stuff I need from my first. My mom insisted and asked me to create a registry so I did. She bought most of the stuff anyway. Lol

I never did a baby shower with any of my children. I don’t feel like dressing up and entertaining guests. Plus preparing the baby shower and setting it up is stressful. I’m always sick and my body aches, I just don’t care for it. I do give credit to those who do it. It takes time and dedication. Sometimes I think about wanting a baby shower for after the baby is born but I don’t have much friends and I’m afraid nobody will come .

I didn’t get a baby shower for my first due to covid so I’m having a baby shower, but I’m having twins so I would probably be having a shower regardless because we just need different things with twins now!

Well I though someone would throw me one. Different genders and over 6 years apart. But I’m 4-6 weeks from when a shower would need be done and nobody has said anything so I guess not 🤷🏼‍♀️

I said no but this is my fourth and only baby we’re not having a shower or sprinkle for. My first was a boy and all my others are girls. And we just moved, so with no family or friends close by it would just be setting myself up for disappointment honestly
