Is the Physiotherapist wrong?

I’ve started to go with LO to a physiotherapist as recommended by pediatrician because she walks on her toes.

The therapist wanted to see if we’ve doing the exercise right but LO wouldn’t have any of it. We went to the corner of the room so I can calmly talk to her. But still she didn’t care, she’s 3 1/2 btw. So the therapist asks meif my LO gets to decide what she should and shouldn’t do!!! I was taken aback and responded I would handle this situation at home differently but I don’t want to cause drama that will lead to a massive tantrum.

I mean I know my daughter and how she can get so why aggravate a toddler? At the same time making it sound like I wasn’t adequate to handle my own child. She forced the situation to the point that we ended up doing it but she forgot to do the other things we were supposed to do. I got annoyed at this and had a moment of “how dare she”

How would you have reacted? Do you really need to force your toddler in these situations? What could I do different?
