Does your husband/boyfriend avoid touching you when you’re on your period?

This is my first period since we’ve been married as I’ve had the mirena in for years and my period completely stopped. Normally he loves to cuddle and kiss and hold hands but ever since I’ve made him aware that I’m on my period he has been keeping his distance. Maybe I’m just overthinking idk 🤷🏾‍♀️

My husband use to until he caught me one morning in a bad mood and I told him off about it! 
My husband grew up with a sister and mom so I figured he would be ok with it. For 4 years every month he would put me down how gross I was and I should be dead and blah blah blah. One morning I was in the bathroom dealing with my cup and he comes in and sees I have blood on my hands and he started in on me. I just had enough and told him its normal and natural. I had the door shut you came in and saw it. That is on you. You need to get over it! Im sure I said some other words to him. 
Now he is scared to say anything to me while I'm on my period. He's not a person who really wants to snuggle so that really never changed. It might be something to talk to him about and make him understand better about periods.

Literally no difference when I'm on my period. We still have sex like normal too. I have short, light periods though so that helps.

My husband doesn't avoid me when I have my period, but I have no interest in sex at that time, so even if he wanted to get intimate, I would say no. I don't really want to be touched then - the hot pricklies kick in and I just want my space. I'll take care of him if he wants attention, but I put myself off limits. He's not interested in period sex either, which works out fine.
