See a sleep/behavioral therapist or no?
My LO turned 2 in June and has never been a great sleeper. She can’t seem to get the rhythm down and I believe it’s contributed to her horrendous behavior.
She bites, hits, scratches, pushes, pulls hair, etc. She’s got a wild amount of energy but sometimes it seems like wired energy from not getting enough sleep.
She’s finally started to get into a pretty good routine of going to sleep around 8:30/9pm but wakes around 5am and will sometimes be awake for an hour or two. I then wake her around 9am and she’s normally super tired acting and angry. That carries into the day with uncontrollable aggressive behavior towards everyone.
Believe it or not she’s gotten better in the last few weeks with seemingly regulating her bedtime and at least waking up later like 5am vs 2/3am but it’s still not quite right.
Do I see a sleep or behavioral specialist or let this ride out? I know some ppl say it’s just a stage and hopefully by 3 her sleep in regulated but I guess I’m just not feeling confident that this “stage” is ever going to end....
