Does it get easier leaving your child at daycare/school?

My son starts preschool next week and I am so emotionally distraught. I know it’s best for him to get some socialization and time away from me but omg. I’m so fucking sad you guys. I’m worrying about every single thing like what if the teachers don’t pay attention or are mean to him or something happens? I’m just so scared and nervous.

It got easier for me. I’ve definitely come to appreciate my time away from the kids (even if I’m working) and I think better appreciate our time together.

Yes! My daughter did part time preschool last year and I struggled the first week with the change of routine and missing her and handing her over to other caretakers. It got better after the first week and then seeing how much she missed school over the summer and getting her enrolled in a really great school this year made me nothing but excited for her this time around. She loves going to school and that makes my heart happy!

Definitely gets easier 🙂 my son just started his second year and it's so nice to have him get that time away from home. I was so sad when he first started.

Yes! My toddler is so excited to go to daycare every morning, greets his friends as soon as we get there and they do arts and crafts and activities and teaches things that I would never have known to teach.
The staff taught my toddler to express his feelings with words and it completely changed everything and improved our home life so much. He now says things like "I am a little sad" and "I am happy now!" and "I got scared" which is so helpful
Sure, there were some tears and sadness the first three weeks. It sucked. it passed.
