I’m on medication got a brain disorder I was diagnosed with at 15, I’m now almost 20 and really have had to be careful about sex. I’ve talked with my mom and bern open with her that I want to get back on birth control (I took it before I was diagnosed but only to track periods since I wasn’t sexually actively @ 15). My neurologist said the only type of birth control that doesn’t cancel out and have no effect on as in preventing pregnancy is the copper IUD. I’ve researched so much and read a lot about it, but I want to know personal experiences from people who have gotten it/ have it. I don’t want to gain a lot of weight or become moody or have ovary / inner body issues considering I’m already dealing with my brain disorder enough. Can I hear experiences from y’all who have gotten the copper IUD?
