cholestasis😞

So I am 12 weeks 5 days and and just got all my tests results back for labs and confirmed I have cholestasis. I did have this with my last pregnancy 3 years ago but I was 38 weeks when I found out and got induced the same day. Anyone else have elevated levels this early? If so what is yours and your doctor medical plan?

My friend was diagnosed with chloestasis pretty early as well. They gave her meds to keep her bile acid levels down and did weekly scans. They suggested delivering between 37-38 weeks. She had a healthy baby girl at 38 weeks. Best of luck to you!

I think she did monthly until she was much closer to delivery. I’m not sure exactly when they started the weekly ones. It might have been her third trimester.

My doctor still just wants to do the monthly visits idk if I should switch doctors?

I’m so sorry for you. I had this with my first and it sucked (and was a bit scary!). I was induced at 38 weeks because of it. I’m really hoping not to get it with this pregnancy but they just tell me there’s a high chance I will. I don’t want to be induced again if I can avoid it 🙈
