When can you get Pregnant after a Miscarriage

Question

So I was supposed to be 9weeks this week. Ended up having a miscarriage starting two days ago. 
My doctor said to wait two cycles before trying again so I know that's my official medical advice. I guess I'm just wondering what others have been told/done as I know there's many opinions on it.  I really want to try again sooner than later as soon as I'm able 😢

The docs like you to have at least one full cycle prior to trying again in order that they can accurately date any future pregnancy.
With my son, I had 3 miscarriages prior to him and was under a recurrent miscarriage consultant (who just so happened to be a fertility specialist as well). Following our third miscarriage she told us to go ahead and try again once the miscarriage bleeding had stopped if we felt mentally and emotionally able to do so. She confirmed there was no medical reason to wait other than to make dating easier. Our third miscarriage I should have been 10w5d when a scan found baby had stopped growing at 7w4d.

It is common to get pregnant easily after miscarriage. I miscarried end of December 2021 @ 2 months. Take your doctors advice, heal up. I became pregnant again in March, 28 weeks now. I also suffered two Subchorionic hematomas which have been possibly were caused from previous miscarriage.

My OB wanted me to wait one cycle after my D&C's (missed miscarriages, one at 10 weeks, one at 11) to make sure my uterus was fully healed. After my chemical pregnancy (4week 3days), he said I didn't need to wait. So sorry for your loss :(

Sorry for your loss. It’s such a hard thing to go through. 
I have recently had a miscarriage ( first pregnancy) at 11wks and ended up needing a D & C. My dr suggested to wait two weeks until trying again. She did say some suggest to wait until you have a complete cycle or two but because my procedure went well she said there was no reason to wait until my period came back. 
I still haven’t got my period back and we have been trying again. I have ovulated recently so hopefully I have positive results in next week.
I know you can fall pregnant without getting your period back after miscarriage so my advise to you would be if you are physically and mentally ready to try again go for it. Your body will let you know if u are not ready. All the best 😊

I was told I could try again once bleeding stopped and I felt emotional ready, my consultant said there is no medical reason to wait & it’s easier to get pregnant after a MC… I didn’t try my first cycle but conceived anyway now 5+ weeks… was the same my last MC at 9+ weeks conceived cycle after he’s now 3 in November xx

As long as you didnt have to medical management to terminate the pregnancy (like missed miscarriage or a D&C) then I think it’s fine.  I got pregnant before even having a cycle.  The first day I bled with my miscarriage I counted as day 1….I ended up ovulating on day 13.  I’m now 4w2d with a new pregnancy!  I got my bfp just 22 days after my miscarriage began!  But I was only 6 weeks when I lost it & then tracked my levels back to zero after about 10 days.  I would say it’s fine if you track ovulation with BBT (temping) & ovulation test strips to confirm ovulation so you have your date of conception correct.  My hcg is rising normally with this pregnancy & everything is looking good.  Sometimes you’re extra fertile after a miscarriage so if your heart is ready- may as well.  Just try to make sure you’re taking a methylated folate to ensure you get proper folic acid absorption.
