Construction on house advice

So we just shelled out a SHIT ton of our savings on a new house. But we want/need to add a third bedroom and a decent pool (it’s hot as fuck where we leave so it’s almost necessary) and we don’t want to live in a construction zone so we want it all to get done before we move in. It will be costly and leave me with just a few thousand in savings and I make $10/hour but live in a country where that’s decent so I can get more for my money here. But I’m stressed a bit being left with only a few thousand dollars left. Is it worth it to just do the construction now? We have a baby so living in a construction zone is basically a no-go. Thanks for any nonjudgmental advice
