So I’ve been on the depot provera birth control shot for almost a year (5 injections exactly). My last injection was due 2 weeks ago, but my partner and I have decided not to renew it as we would like to try getting pregnant some time early next year. As this would be my first time trying, I have absolutely no idea what I should be doing. I’ve done a little research, knowing that I should be off of birth control for a good couple of months if I can (hence stopping the shot), and having certain vitamins making sure my body is in good health. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can be doing now, even though I won’t be trying for say another 4 or so months? And does anyone have any stories from their experience as to how the birth control shot affects you after you stop taking it? Like when should I expect my first period (the shot stopped mine all together), when have others gotten theirs, or even when you’ve gotten pregnant after stopping the injections? Just wanting some personal experience advice 😊
