AHHHHH HELP

I’ve been on the continuous combo pill for a few months now, so I’d skip a period. A few days ago while I was still taking my active pills (right before the sugar pills), I began bleeding. My doctor said this is normal and my body is just trying to have a period now from a few months of skipping. She told me to go ahead and take the sugar pills so I can “reset my body”, and she said I may bleed again. I started the sugar pills yesterday and I have begun bleeding again with light cramps. So everything seems normal?
