What was your babies weight at 34 weeks?

My baby is estimated 4lb 4oz, weight slowed right down and between 3rd and 10th growth centile. Doctors are concerned and are wanting to induce in 2 weeks if no improvements. How can I help baby to gain weight quickly in the next 2 weeks to avoid early induction? and what is your babies estimated weight at 34w?

Just had a growth scan today at 33weeks, baby is estimated to be 5lb 5 oz. I don’t think there is much you can do hun to help with weight gain was there any issues with placenta or anything like that? Possibly that baby is just going to be a smaller than average baby if everything else is looking fine

I’m not sure as of right now but at 29 weeks baby was measuring a little over 3 pounds.

I think about 4lbs 6oz? He was born at 37 weeks and was 5lbs 25oz. My kiddo wasn’t quite IUGR but he was considered “Small for Gestational Age” by his pediatrician. There’s really nothing you can eat to make them gain a lot of weight it has partly to do with how well your placenta is functioning.

Baby is going to grow however baby is going to grow. I would ask for a recheck in 2 weeks and then decide from there. 
This baby was estimated to be 5lb 13oz at 34 weeks and was around 75th%. We aren’t doing another growth check. Being induced on Monday at 38w1d because of my history.
My son was estimated to be 6lbs at 34 weeks. I was induced at 38 weeks with him because he was on track to be 10+ pounds. He was only 6lb7oz at birth. My doctor said the placenta was very small and likely not functioning appropriately because of my chronic hypertension. She also didn’t think I would have been able to push a bigger baby out and he required a vacuum delivery. 
Early induction is scary, but trust your doctor. They don’t have a crystal ball but are using the tools available and their experience to the best of their abilities!

At 33 weeks my little measured at 4 lbs 12 oz and I was told 50-75th percentile… why are they concerned? My little ended up at 7.14 by birth at 39 weeks.

Have they checked to see if its IUGR? If not I would not be concerned necessarily because babies grow at their own rate, my baby measured small on the ultrasounds and by the time I hit like 38 weeks she was already almost 8 lbs estimated. If there is no concern for IUGr or something wrong with placenta then they shouldn't just induce because of weight. At least in my opinion. I would get another scan and see sometimes it differs based on who is measuring. I had one ultrasound tech measure my baby in the 11th percentile causing my midwife to be concerned and when I went for another scan she was in the 68th percentile. All because the ultrasound tech didn't measure everything and do his job properly the way he should have.
