My husband and I really like it but I am kinda concerned about it being a "boy" name.

I would pronounce that name as “add-in”. Spelling as Aydnn might help because I think the general population would probably get the name wrong off the bat. I do like it for a girl though. 😊

Yes it’s bad. I don’t particularly like it for a girl, but anytime you have to explain how it’s pronounced you’re setting your child up for a lifetime of the same. Just spell
It properly if you want to name her Aiden.

If you’re going to use it, change the spelling as others have mentioned. Spell it the way you want it to sound. Example : “Ayden” if you like the “y” and it’s different than the typical boy spelling.

If you like the Y you could always spell it Aydnn so there’s so mistake with the pronunciation.. 
My youngest sons name is Harlyn instead of Harlan. I changed the spelling but honestly spelled it how most people would pronounce it anyways. 
I have a friend her name is Chelee and everyone has misspelled and said it incorrectly her whole life and she hates it 😔 it’s pronounced sh-lee
