When to share the news

I just found out I’m pregnant, and am getting a blood test tomorrow. I’m just trying to gauge when to tell immediate family. When did you all tell family? I know there isn’t an “official time” to tell, but just hearing some other input would be great. 🙂

We just had a private ultrasound today and saw our little bean and it’s heartbeat. With that confirmation, we’re telling this weekend. We are going to a football game and both our parents and all our siblings will be there. It feels like the right time so we can tell them all at the same time and in person. I’ll be exactly 7 weeks. I’ve known since 3w6d and it’s been so hard not to tell anyone! I ended up telling my bff because I’m weak and had to tell someone. 😅

With my last pregnancy we told everyone right around 6 weeks but had a MMC.
This time we still haven’t told anyone (besides our 7 year old) and I’m well into my 12th week. We are probably going to wait until the next doctors appt at 14 weeks and then tell everyone.

For the first, I told my immediate family at around 8 weeks…once I knew there was an embryo and it had a heartbeat. I ended up having a miscarriage, and I think next time I’ll tell them sooner since it would feel weird to keep that secret for weeks now that they know we’re trying.

I told immediate family the weekend after finding out. Kept it off socials until 12 weeks. Next time, I am probably going to wait a bit to tell anyone aside from my husband of course just to take in the moment for ourselves as our next may very likely be our last baby.

I Have a private ultrasound booked for October 7 and I'll be 8+4. That also lands on the Thanksgiving weekend so I'll probably tell my immediate family that weekend after I hear the heartbeat. There's no right or wrong time. Whatever you feel comfortable doing/sharing.❤️ congratulations!!!!
