Before I explain, I don’t want to see comments about my child owning an iPad. I just don’t. There’s a lot to unfold and I am a mother that’s now going through so much pain. I’m also reliving my own trauma from sexual assault. Please be kind.

I’m going to start this of as I have a daughter who is 8 and a half. She is 5ft 1. She’s extremely tall. She’s basically as tall as me. She acts older, she looks older. You wouldn’t have any idea she’s 8. She looks at least 12. Because of this she was referred to an endocrinologist to check hormone and growth. After doing some blood work and x rays. Her bone age is way above her age. Which means her hormones are high or that’s how I was explained. I don’t have another appt with the doctor for a year. They basically want to do a follow up in a year. The reason on top of her growth is she developed breasts last year. She wears a bra at her age. I didn’t think of how this could affect her. I understand especially these days girls are getting their period and hitting puberty sooner. BUT I didn’t realize THIS soon. She’s been showing signs lately like cramping, her breast growing a little more and having body Oder like under her arms and what not. I’m thinking oh shoot she could be one of the kids who start early so I went and got her some pads, some deodorant and some girl products to make her feel more at ease when she starts if it is soon.

This was last week, never thought a thing since until today. We found out she secretly have downloaded tik tok. She’s had it for months without our knowledge. When I say she acts older this plays into it. How she was able to get a tik tok account figure out how everything works blows me away how smart she really is. She deletes the app when we are around. Extremly sneaky! I would have NEVER thought in my wildest dreams. She acts very innocent. Anyway, after looking…. Her step dad and I went through it from head to toe, found her watch history and it’s disgusting. She’s watching soft porn basically- they are clothes but wearing skimpy clothes recreating sexual acts . There is HUNDREDS of videos she’s watched. She was messaging an account that’s clearly a fake one, it’s of a girl face for the profile pic but nothing else. It’s a freaking pedophile I’m 1000%.

This is where my stomach turns saying this, my 8 year old is calling this pedophile BABE, the pedophile is saying he wants to “ F*CK her and make her c*m so bad” mg daughter then sends NAKED PICS. i want to throw up. I am in shock right now, I can’t comprehend I can’t accept this. I am scared to my core.

When she got caught she ran in her room SCREAMING bloody murder saying she hates us, she wants to run away. She’s okay now but my partner and I don’t know what to do as we are in panic mode. We sat and talked to her and we are very calm and loving parents. We always tell her she can come to us for anything but my daughter never expresses her feelings. She’s scared of men. She’s scared to say I love you she’s been this way since she was like what 51/2 or 6? I always thought it’s bc her grandpa left us all, and she was so close to him. Now I’m thinking she was molested.

My mom came over ( she works with sex offenders for a living, a parole officer ) she is a mess right now also about this. We all believe she has been sexually assaulted or something. We tried to talk with her on it but she denies it all. She is going into a therapist in the morning. I am so numb as this triggers something in me. I have to say strong for her and be there but I was also sexually abused when I was 5. I started acting out sexually like this when I was around my daughters age.

Please send any advice you may have? Maybe some encouraging words. I feel like a failure right now as a mom. I feel like my daughter has died. She’ll never be the same again? Even if she wasn’t sexually abused she still now has trauma there her innocence is gone.

I don’t know how it could have happened other then school she’s always with us or her grandma. Nobody else. I do everything for my kids. I literally don’t understand how this happened or what’s going on. I’m sad and scared. I try my best. She won’t be allowed any iPad or technology for along time. I know that having an iPad is giving access to this crap but literally she hid it the whole time. When I checked her iPad which I did daily there was no sign of anything other then little kid games.
