Did you have a baby shower for your second baby?

I’m due with baby #2, and wasn’t really planning on one. We have all of the big stuff still from our first. But I made a list of items we need before baby and there’s still lots of little items (diapers, bath stuff, etc…) what did you all do? I think some family members feel like it’s too hard for us to have one before as we don’t know the gender yet, they’d prefer to shop after baby is here. I didn’t have a shower with my first due to covid.

I’m not going to have one solely because I know that my side of the family won’t show up (and I don’t have friends). 
It’ll be mostly his family and friends and I’ll be emotional/embarrassed 😭😭 
I want one so bad!!! I have a daughter (4) and his last kid was 6 years ago from a previous relationship.

I think this may be cultural. I only had a shower for my first and don’t know anyone who has had a second shower, but I can see from this app that it does seem common in some places. In your case, since you didn’t have one the first time around, I probably would do it if I felt like I wanted to.

I just had my third shower , but it’s been 13 years since my last and it’s my spouses first baby . I wanted to make it special for him, so we did a co Ed baby shower . If you want a shower , I say do it . Every baby should be celebrated .

I’m having a shower for my 2nd. My first was a boy OVER 6 years ago. I have nothing left from when he was a baby let alone any girl stuff. I’ve bought the car seats and playpen already so there’s not a lot of big items left. I figure I’ll get mostly clothes/diapers/wipes/etc. but they may surprise me.

Had one for my 1st boy 2nd boy and now having one for our 3rd boy. This is our first winter baby we have nothing winter clothes wise so a cousin of our wanted to throw another shower
