I had an ultrasound this week which showed my placenta covering my cervix by 0.8cm. My midwife suggested I get regular check ups to ensure it's moving or if not, to plan what our next steps are.

I had a vaginal birth with my first born and was planning a natural home birth with my second.

However, my midwife said I may need to have a scheduled c-section at 38ish weeks if my placenta doesn't progress.

I am utterly terrified and stressed out about this. I wasn't expecting this at all. Of course I'll do whatever it takes to get baby earth side safely but I'm so worried about the surgery, recovery etc. I have NO clue what to expect.

Do you ladies mind sharing your experiences with me if you went through something similar?
