Extremely afraid of cervix check

I had to run to L&D in my 33 +1 week cause of sudden bleeding. I wasn’t aware of cervical check like how painful it’d be. It was so so painful I was crying all in tears. Now I’m so afraid of it and my doc said They are supposed to do it again and again now that I’m 35 weeks. Anyone idea on how to feel less pain or any suggestion!!
