Another Oct baby arrived in Sept!
Sorry it’s been so long for an update, but things have been pretty hectic! I had posted last week that I was worried the cervical check my OB had done would put me into labor. Well it did! Baby girl was born the next evening on 9/24 at 39w exactly.
I started having contractions as we were going to bed. But I wasn't sure if it was Braxton Hicks bc I assumed they'd be more painful, but they were very uncomfortable. We started timing them and they were like 4 mins apart. I also wasn't sure if I was leaking fluid. After about an hour we decided to page my doctor and he said I could go to the hospital. As I was waiting at registration at 1:30am and my husband was getting our stuff from the car, my water really broke all over their chair.
When I got in the delivery room I was like 4-5cm. I waited a little while but then asked for the epidural. At noon I was 10cm and pushed for 6 hours bc my contractions were 4 mins apart but long. So I was basically having half the time to push. She just wasn't moving past the pubic bone. I think the nurse wanted me to be able to do it myself saying I was sooo close. But she said that for like 3 hours and I was pretty much done. Eventually I decided to do a vacuum assist and she was out in like 10 mins. My doctor said it was a good call or else I could have been pushing another 2 hours.
We’ve been exhausted battling sleepy eater who is now cluster feeding, but we are so in love. 💖😍 🎀
