Wisdom teeth

Hi guys, so I’ve needed to get my wisdom teeth out for a while. They didn’t bother me at all until recently, but I’ve been holding off because it’s very expensive and I didn’t have insurance.

Now I need to get them out and I’m absolutely terrified. The first oral surgeon I went to told me I needed anesthesia (I’d really prefer the gas) which is what freaks me out, not the actual teeth pulling part.

I have extremely severe anxiety and I’m allergic to just about everything so having never been put under before I’m very afraid of being allergic to the anesthesia. Something happened with the previous oral surgeon so I need to find a new one anyway, but can I request the gas instead? Anesthesia is expensive
