How do I catch him ?

My bf has a sleeping problem where he can’t sleep sometimes so he goes outside to smoke and listen to music . Usually it’s just right outside the door but for the past 2 weeks some days he’ll tell me he’s going to the gas station go get cigarettes or whatever before I go to sleep like 10pm we’ll lately it’s been more frequent and In the middle of the night like 2/3 am . I know his friend works the corner so sometimes he chills with him up there during the day but I asked him not to be out there at night it’s dangerous. He still goes “to get cigarettes” well I’d be sleep waking up seeing him gone . His location showing at the gas station . In the morning I’d ask where he went and he’s like oh to get smokes but I wasn’t gone but a few min which is a lie sometimes it’s an hour etc. yes I went through his phone becasue he is breaking my trust by lying and the only messages were this : his friend sent a picture of some girls profile 2 days ago and said she think you cute talk to her and he’s like nah I’m good and he’s like yea cuz u got a girlfriendddd….today said “I thought your girl wasn’t gonna be home this weekend” no messages before that but he replied “nah she leaves in November” (I’m flying to see my family thanksgiving and he’s not going ) then later his friend asked if he’s coming out tonight and he’s like yea the usual when my girl goes to sleep but who all u goin be with and his friend said just myself why and he said cuz u always up there with females I’m not going if they up there .

You can tell a lot of their messages are gone . I can’t tell if he’s cheating or what and what are the plans for when I’m gone ?

Update :

We went to the gas station 20 min ago and his friend wasn’t there but coming out the gas station a girl yells out hey .asks if he’s seen his friend he said no and kept walking back to the car . He tells me she’s a prostitute one of his friends people that he’s seen up there .

@wendy- that’s what I thought at first but something just feels off . Why is his friend recommending females when we’ve been together over a year ? Why are their messages gone. And why is he lying about wanting to spend time with his friend and how long he’s out. They spend enough time during the day idk

@tam- if he claims his friend always has women with him when he goes who’s not to say he hasn’t talked to them while out and just didn’t exchange info ? Becasue why lie about how long you were out ? Why does his friend feel ok to put him on with other women ? And I don’t plan on hiding I will wait it out see what is said in a week then tell him

@apples- no I am not controlling he always goes out with friends he sees them like 3 days out the week it’s a group of 4 of them and they run pretty busy and different lives it’s just that one lives literally 2.5 lights down and there is a gas station in the middle that they chill at. He can have female friends too but he told me girls find him attractive and can’t stay in their lane so he chose not to talk to them out of respect for his relationship
