I’m trying to get a divorce from my husband who has been in prison for 2 years now…

I’ve been in denial about it for awhile now unfortunately… then at the end of last year we got into a bad argument and I finally agreed on the divorce but it spiraled me. I started going out and drinking… well I ended up pregnant but don’t know who the father is and have no way of knowing…

Now that my baby is here I’m trying to finish my divorce. I was told I need a DOP (denial of paternity) form signed by my husband. I’ve been calling every where to get this form but always getting transferred somewhere different. I finally talked to a lady today who said my husband can’t sign the DOP form until someone signs an AOP (acknowledgment of paternity) form. I told her my situation and that was impossible and she said she didn’t know what to tell me then. Basically saying I can’t get my divorce (that I want now more than ever).

I live in Texas… has anyone been in a situation like this or know someone who has?? IDK what to do. I was trying to avoid paying for an attorney since we both agree on everything but it looks like I’m going to need one.. 😭😭😭 I’m so frustrated.
