Would you call in the day before a big trip

So on Saturday we leave for a big trip to Europe, I have 2 small children to pack bags for and myself, I also have an entire house to clean before we leave. I am so tempted to phone in sick tomorrow from work just so I can get everything done while the kids are in daycare because I know come tomorrow evening I’ll be scrambling and super stressed. So my question is, would you phone in sick if you had a ton of stuff to do at home in a small timeframe and wanted to avoid a mental breakdown? I should mention I have paid sick time that I’m entitled to each year. I also have been having bad back pain this past week which would justify phoning in.
