Do babies want our food?

Do babies see solid food and want it? I feel like my five month old sees my food and wants to taste it lol dr said no food until 6months. Does anyone feed their baby, baby food now?

My doctor cleared purées for my son at 4 months. She suggested yellow & green veggies and baby oatmeal. But she did have to determine that based on his milestones

One of the markers for blw is that they are interested in food. My 5 month old is definitely interested. I'll let him lick something off my finger, but we won't start solids until he meets all the requirements for blw including the required 6 months. Some people choose to do purees before then but studies show any food before 6 months can cause digestive issues.
