Your best advice for talking to husband about trying / not preventing …
We had a tough transition from no kids to 1. The newborn phase was very hard for us and I think it almost broke my husband.
However, while dating and while married and pregnant- we always said we would have two kids. Now after just one, he isn’t sure he wants more. I desperately want another.
Does anyone have advice on how to talk to him about this? I know I cannot control if we have another. It took a long time to get the one we had. I don’t want to prevent a second baby. I understand if he doesn’t want to “try” but I don’t want to prevent a “surprise”.
The last time we talked about it he said that a part of him wants our baby to have the traditional nuclear family.
I’m older and running out of time. I want to be able to tell our kid one day when they ask why they don’t have a sibling that we did try. I know I would regret not trying.
Any advice welcome.
