Sleeping

All the articles and tips I read about putting toddlers in a bed instead of a crib automatically paint a picture of putting them to bed and leaving the door open for them to get up out of bed. I havent done this because for one I don't want my little one getting up and wondering the house when everyone is asleep and two we have a monitor on her.

Now my actual dilemma is that she doesn't want to go to bed alone. She cries and is so sad that she is by herself. She was fine up until a couple weeks ago. My husband thinks it changed when we were watching a movie and she got scared. I think it started before that. How are others doing bedtime and what kind of problems have come up?

Just put a gate at your kids door. Lifesaver and then you can keep the door open if you want.

My LO will not come out of his room because I leave the hallways dark as can be, only light is coming from his room so he’s more inclined to stay in his room, he typically won’t get up if he did wake up either it’s rare but he’ll walk to my door down the hall and cry if he does but I just redirect him and he’s back in bed sleeping. We went straight from a crib to a toddler bed, and. I don’t leave the door open he’s just big enough to open it 😂😂

My JUNE baby went to a toddler bed at 11 months after he did a pull-up 🥴 dr said the crib wasn't safe anymore, we had no issues until we moved! But he never left his room, I'd just find his room a mess with toys!! He's now in a day bed and loves to be able to hop in and out of bed!

My June baby is still in a crib.. it’s a convertible crib so it’s fairly big. He doesn’t try to climb out, he honestly loves it. He’s also being evaluated for autism so there’s no way we could do a toddler bed. He’s typically awake playing in his crib for at least 30 mins before he falls asleep.

Girl we literally suck at bedtime. We have a routine but bubs still won’t sleep in his room. It’s us, our new baby and our older son all in a king size bed and my neck hurts bad but everyone sleeps thru the night bc of it.
