Ivf success ?

Hi all I had another scan today and have 8 follicles (and a ton 8mm and under) did anyone have success first time around with so few follicles?

I only had 11 follicles. Got 8 eggs, 7 mature, 4 fertilized, all 4 made it to blastocyst, 3 came back genetically normal. Just had my son on April 30th and still have the 2 frozen. Quality over quantity!

I only had 8-10 follicles. They retrieved 10 eggs, 8 were mature and fertilized, but only one made it to blastocyst. We did a fresh transfer and I am giving birth to that baby girl on Friday 😊 i was super devastated that my other embryos didn’t make it but thankful we gave the cycle a chance since that single blastocyst became my baby girl.

Thank you all for helping to keep my hope up!! I had my retrieval yesterday. I ended up popping a few mor follicles but the Dr had a terrible time getting to my ovaries and was not able to get to them all. But they got 9- 8 were mature and 7 fertilized! Now fingers crossed they keep growing!

I had 9 mature follicles that developed into (5) 3 day embryos and (4) 5 day blasts. I had a FET done with two embryos that fails, and then a FBT with 2 blasts. ONE took, and I’m currently 22w1d with a little girl. So all it takes is one. Quality is far more important than quantity. Same thing goes for a uterine lining when you go for a transfer. It’s all about quality.
