SOS BABY LICKING FINGERS

I’m at a neighbors house and they invited us for dinner. The father kept insisting on holding my baby. I go make my plate and I could back and he’s letting her lick and chew on his fingers!!!! These are new neighborhood friends and I’m MORTIFIED. What can my baby get from chewing on his hands? I went to the bathroom and washed her mouth,gum, tongue out with water and washes her hands. I feel like I failed. That is so disgusting.
