I love you?

I had a dream that my bf of 2 1/2 months said I love you. I talk him about the dream then I asked him, did he love me? He chuckled with a smile actually I do love you. He kiss me on my forehead and I latex on his chest to finished watching tv. Now, I’m in a state of reflection, I’m wondering does he love me as a person or in love with me? If this conversation took places a couple of weeks ago, do you guys think I should bring it up to get an concrete answer.
