Breastfeeding on a lowfat diet?

My daughter is 9 weeks old, She’s been exclusively breastfed since birth and has gained more than enough weight, she’s a very big healthy baby. However, I recently had to start a very low fat diet because I have a sick gallbladder. My diet is very healthy, just VERY low in fat. I recently noticed a lot less fat in my pumped milk, I’m wondering if I’ll need to supplement with formula to maintain enough calories? Does anyone have experience with this? Unfortunately adding more of any type of fat isn’t an option. (I’ll be taking to her doctor about this at her appointment on Monday I’m just wondering if anyone has any experience with this)

You don't need to "look at your milk", that way people get so many worries. If your baby is happy still gaining etc, then it doesn't matter how your milk looks like to you.

You might want to consider supplementing a high calorie formula along with your breastmilk. Fat content does matter. Have you discussed with your dietitian about taking lipase, ox bile, and enzymes so you can still include certain healthy fats?

So I have gallbladder issues what helped resolve them was ox bile and digestive enzymes. Can’t remember the name of the enzymes but can get it for you if you would like. I’m breastfeeding two. And started having issues with the fat when little one was 6 weeks. Lost 13 lbs in two weeks I was so sick. Started taking these supplements and within 3 days was able to eat normal again. I took them for two weeks and now I only take them if I know I’ve eaten way to much fat that day and can feel like my stomach might be upset. You can message me on here if you would like more info. For me quitting breastfeeding wasn’t an option.
