My boyfriend handles the finances, therefore has an account and I do not as I admit I'm bad with money due to my ADHD but if anything I need, it's never an issue as it's OUR money and we mainly use it jointly for our bills and especially on our baby twins💙💗

I have a joint account. But I also have a sole account at the same bank so I can transfer money over if things go wrong. I used to work at a bank and the stories are real. 
Always have a back up account. Then any extra money you get put into the sole account. You can save up incase you need an escape. 
Might be paranoid but as someone who thought she had the best relationship ever-things changed in a matter of a day. We are still together but I still have my back up account.

Separate accounts. He handles all the house hold bills. He gives me his second week check every month for my bills/groceries/spending money. He fills my tank for me, and gives me money anytime I ask for it or mention that there’s something I want to buy. I just moved in with him in June and just stopped working 2 weeks ago due to being pregnant so not having my own income is very new and scary to me, but he has been great with making me feel comfortable with the situation!
