Sex to induce labor ?

Question

Has any one else tried doing it to induce labor ? My doctor told me that if I don’t have my baby by next week then I’ll have to be induced a week from that appointment. I’ve been trying everything from walking and pregnancy work out videos on YouTube to different types of teas and nothing has worked so far. Sometimes I’ll get contractions and they get consistent but go away after a while. Not sure what else to do but I was reading that sex softens the cervix but Im not sure if it works soon or if it takes a while after ?

I didn’t try it with my first two kids… however this baby we had sex at 32wks and 2hrs later I was in labor & in the hospital for days stopping in. Was told no sex until 37wks (fine with me!!!). 37.6 & over it we had sex, immediately I started cramping and 2hrs later contractions started. He was born that evening. So it def worked for us!

Yes to sex and having him go inside you. Also, it worked for my first pregnancy: two hours straight on the pregnancy exercise ball. Bounce and gyrate while watching a movie. No breaks!

Worked for my second but not with this third baby, I tried lol. I was told I would be induced also next week at 39 and I don’t want it but I’m high risk due to GD and a two cord vessel. I just wish he would come.

It worked with my second, 15 minutes afterward my water broke. My first and third it did not work though.

From personal experience and what my midwife says.. there’s no for sure way to induce labor naturally, baby will come when baby is ready. I had 2 sweeps, had sex every night but baby still came on her due date 😆🤷🏻‍♀️ good luck to you though!

With my first I had sex and my water broke a couple hours later. With this pregnancy nothing is working. We’ve had sex; multiple times, I’ve tried walking, and exercise, and nothing has helped. My dr told me to eat pineapple and try curb walking. So that’s the plan tonight

With my second I had a sweep done and had sex that night, had him next day.
This time around I had a sweep done yesterday am, had sex and today I’m still here waiting lol, I am having contractions but no water leak just spotting
