How to get rid of chemical smell

Chef Cara • Currently cook for a fine dining restaurant in Traverse City. Single, 29, chef, would love to be a mom someday.

I've built my bed back in June and I never smelled anything. I just had surgery on Oct 3. I came home Monday and Tuesday I kept smelling something but couldn't figure out where it was coming from and finally figured it was from my headboard. It's faux leather. It's giving off a bad chemical smell.

I used Google and tried vinegar, baking soda, baking soda and dish soap etc. I've let things sit and it still smells. The smell seems to be stronger in certain spots. Nothing is working. It's making me nauseous and giving me a migraine. I find it weird that I'm smelling something all of a sudden. Maybe it's because I have to be home for 6 weeks recovering when I'm used to being at work or just out of the house all day.

Anyone have any ideas or tips I could try to get rid of it. I also contacted the company
