Hair Loss
I have wavy, chemically damaged, naturally dry, fine hair. I am 38. I am possibly perimenopausal. I have previously been diagnosed with PCOS and I have gallbladder disease. If any of this might contribute to my problem!!
So I recently started to notice (around the start of summertime) an increase in hair fall. I know that hair falls in cycles, so it's not unusual for people to lose around 100 hairs a day, depending on hair thickness/genetics.
So it was nothing I initially worried about, due to nature, and as I dye my hair regularly. It was past shoulder length so more noticeable that it was falling out alot, it's damaged, and dry from the summer. (I rarely use heat styling fyi)
It was balayaged around a year ago, and it never reacts well to bleach, (which I've only done three times ever - i usually use gentler dyes) so I was convinced the hair fall was likely breakage due to the lengths being kinda ruined.
So, about a week or two ago, I cut it short. Kind of chin length. I expected that to remedy the loss.
It hasn't.
I have no idea if I've now worked myself up into a kind of paranoia or not.
Would my first step be my GP?
