How long are diapers good for?

Maybe a stupid question but how long are unused diapers good for ? I got a bunch from a friend who had her baby 3 years ago but not sure if they’re still good . They’re opened and are out of the original box. Just a bunch in a big trash bag.

Id have no problem using them. To me, it's such an horrendous waste- like they are already going to take 500-1000 years to breakdown, so they might as well get used. I would maybe quickly hoover them if you are worried about dust? You can see very quickly if they are irritating in any way

I am using diapers that were left over from my daughter for my son from  2.5 almost 3 years ago, but they were all in their original unopened plastic sleeves but not the boxes and they have been working fine, i did have one sleeve that was open and stored in the box and they were fine too. I don’t know if I would use them if they were just thrown in a garbage bag though.

If they were still in their original packaging, I would say you're good to use them. But since they're not...I'd be hesitant.

They don’t expire but I wouldn’t use those since they are from 3 years ago. Maybe a year but definitely not that long.

Check the box, if there's no expiration date, they were stored inside and still in the plastic I wouldn't worry about it.
