Please help me.

My bf and I have been together for three years. We want to move in together soon. He work in the city in finance, (works from home a few days a week) and I am a nurse. We both live separately with our parents in the suburbs. I want to switch jobs soon and have been looking in areas relatively close to my home (30-40 mins away max) since we are going into winter and I have a pretty bad car. I feel really comfortable in my state and commuting around here is no problem for me.

My bf wants to move to the city so his commute is easier. he wants me to get licensed in the city and work there too. He says ill probably get more money that way too. but the problem is that I don’t wanna be that far from home, that claustrophobic, I know ill make more money but I feel like he’s making me look for jobs in an area that is convenient for him and idk do u guys think he’s being selfish or I am? I have commute everyday, when he only goes in three days a week. id love to live and work in a place right across the river, across from the city, so it’s easier for him but id still be able to work in an area that’s comfortable for me. but he thinks im selling myself short. idk if it’s really that he cares about that or he just wants a shorter commute for himself. im usually someone who just follows along what other people want for me, I really need some help and guidance from some strong ladies who stand up for themselves. please help.
