Post cesarean Endo diagnosis

Amy • Biz owner, was a teen mom to a now 18 year old 🩷. Baby #2 was a 5 week NICU warrior born @ 34 weeks in August 2020 💙. Baby #3 born at 33+2 in June 2023, currently in NICU 🩷

I had a rough pregnancy with my son in 2020 resulting in delivery via emergency T cut C-section at 34 weeks exactly. My cesarean scar never really behaved itself, I had to have it re-opened and debrided at 11 weeks pp, then later on some rogue scar tissue started to appear in other places. After having no success with acute silver nitrate treatments I was basically just told that the scar tissue was abnormal but not yet considered worrisome. For the first 6 months after having my son my periods were back to how they used to be, regular and relatively light. Then they started to slowly get longer, heavier and incredibly painful. I've never had ovulation cramps, ovulation bloating, literally no midcycle symptoms whatsoever. Now a couple of days before ovulation every month I bloat so badly that I've been asked when I am due with the next baby (I'm definitely not pregnant).

I know it can take years for women to receive an endometriosis diagnosis because for some reason doctors seem to think we don't know ourselves as well as we do. But thankfully because of my history of the weird scar tissue and sudden change in periods I was taken seriously and after some imaging I was diagnosed with secondary onset post cesarean endometriosis. So far small clusters of cells have been seen on my left ovary and at the base of my left fallopian tube, but nowhere else. So it's moving but my God it is already ruining my life. I just turned 37 and we are hoping to begin TTC with our final baby after the first of the year, I was told that my endometriosis is in early enough stages right now that it probably won't affect my fertility but I guess I'm just looking to connect with anyone else in the same boat. I also will require progesterone support and cervical length ultrasounds throughout our final pregnancy to keep an eye on some issues I had during my 2020 pregnancy that may recur. Pics of my son for attention, as well as my pre-and post-ovulation belly. What a difference a few days can make ☹️
