When did you announce your pregnancy to in laws?

my in laws have been telling us to make them a grandchild for a while now, and we've been TTC for about 2 months now. but I had a thought recently, when is the right time to tell them? i'd want to tell them whenever I find out, but I also feel like I should wait a few weeks into the pregnancy to tell them? idk.
disclaimer: I havent taken a pregnancy test yet. I've just been wondering about this recently 😅

My husband was too excited with our first he told them before I even missed a period. 😂 this time we waited until 8 weeks.

It's really all preference of the person. Our first kiddo, we waited to tell anyone until 12 weeks, including family. We didn't want anything to happen and then have to go through telling everyone hard news. Second baby though, we told parents and in laws early and told friends a little later but before 12 weeks. No right time, just your right time on what you are comfortable with.

33 weeks along and still haven't told them lol not planning to do so. Their not in out children's life who are 5-6 so why bother. They will just eventually see that we have a new baby lol

We told my parents at 6/7weeks as we needed the support with our daughter. In laws won’t find out for a while, hoping to wait till at least 20 weeks to tell them or longer if poss, whenever I’m unable to hide it anymore

See this is tough, I was doing math last night if I got pregnant this cycle id be too early to be comfortable telling people..but with our annual Friendsgiving coming up I know our friends would notice me not drinking, I’d be 8-9weeks (my best friend from HS would know by then)
Even family id wait until 12+weeks-as much as I’d like them to know, I wouldnt want to deal with their “smothering” if something happened.

My first 3 we told them immediately. My fourth we waited until after 16 weeks. I was very high risk and had extreme anxiety about announcing.

I told my parents and inlaws immediately after a positive test. I was exactly 5 weeks.

We’ve always told our moms around 8 weeks when we have the first ultrasound just to make sure the pregnancy is viable. Everyone else, it ranges from 12 weeks to after baby is born.
