When should I test?

I had sex unprotected sex September 13th. One app says 3 days late. This app says 5 days until my period. I have 4 more days until my last row of pills when I get my actual period on my birth control pack. My boobs are tingling I know that’s a sign of period and pregnancy. So when should I take a test?

Normally, when the pill is taken properly, it prevents ovulation as the main way to prevent pregnancy, and therefore, any sex, you have would not be considered unprotected in terms of pregnancy. However, since you have missed pills, that can trigger ovulation to happen and puts you at risk for pregnancy. If the only sex you had up until this point was on that day in September, then you can definitely test now and the results will be accurate. If you are not pregnant, and your withdrawal bleeding/“period” doesn’t come, then it’s likely from you missing the pills. ￼
