Am I being selfish?

My Boyfriend & I have been together for almost 2 years. I’m 24 & he is 43, we have a beautiful little girl together. His sisters & mom do not like me at all due to my age, they think I’m in it for the money when they have no idea that I’ve been giving him money to help out with a bunch of things around the house. I never ask him for anything. They want him & our baby to come to thanksgiving, Christmas etc but told him I wasn’t invited. It does kinda upset me, I’ve never done any wrong to them, never disrespected them or anything. Would it be wrong if my boyfriend went anyways leaving me home by myself for the holidays? I don’t want to sound selfish keeping him away, but nothing hurts worse than spending the holidays alone.

If he goes without you I would absolutely leave his ass. What kind of man allows his family to think that way about his woman without defending her and correcting them when they wrongly assume? And absolutely what kind of man would just be okay with leaving the mother of his child behind and going to a holiday family gathering where she isn't welcome!? HELL NO! You are NOT being selfish. He's honestly treating you like shit for allowing his family to treat you like shit and assume all kinds of things that aren't true without defending you and correcting them where they are wrong. He is no partner if he'd just let this go on and go somewhere that you aren't welcome and I'd be damned if I let him bring MY child somewhere I'm not welcome. This is fucked up and I'd be out of this relationship in a split second. Sounds like he's using YOU for your money and he should be exposed for that to these people. I hope you can understand how absolutely wrong this is of him.

I wouldn’t go and neither would my child. He can go if he wants to on his own. That would give me a pretty good signal that he doesn’t respect you

That’s a divorceable offense in my book. By doing that it would be clear that he does not respect you either. men should not allow their family to treat their partner that way
