I know boxed dye is taboo but what’s your take on it? So I used to always dye my hair with box dyes when I was younger and I always loved how it turned out. But then I became friends with a hair dresser and was too ashamed to even touch boxed dyes again as she put down anyone who used them. But the thing is I end up paying over $300 when I go to a salon and I rarely end up with what I asked for. At the moment I have a balayage brown to blonde which I loved when I got it but that was a year ago and even tho I use purple shampoo the blonde is dull and completely fried, so all the blonde bits in my hair look and feel like straw. Colour which is brunette or I wouldn’t mind a reddish fuchsia which I’ve had in the past and loved. But I can’t afford a salon right now and I’m so tempted to walk over to my drug store and pick up a box. But the there’s a tiny part of me thinking what if I regret it.
