High blood pressure but not preeclampsia?
My blood pressure has hovered around 126/78 this whole pregnancy. I started my weekly visits and BPP ultrasounds at 32 weeks because I’m high risk. At my 34 week appointment yesterday my blood pressure was 160/90 and they let me rest for 20 minutes, rechecked it and it was 160/92.
They checked my urine and blood work and there was no protein and liver/kidney function was normal.
My OB said it was rare to see a huge spike but not have protein or decreased liver function so technically they can’t call this preeclampsia.
I started blood pressure meds and will have my baby at 38 weeks!
Has anyone experienced this ?
