Yup. In Canada we have the option for a 18 months or 12 months mat leave (same money for both). 55% of my salary up to $500 every 2 weeks plus my work tops me up to 90% for 7 months.

My husband works for the USDA and he is getting 12 weeks this time around! He had to use vacation or sick leave previously (except with our pandemic baby because he worked from home). He's going to use 4-6 weeks immediately then use the remainder throughout the year when I need backup or whatever.

In Australia here, I get 14 weeks full pay from work, plus my 4 weeks annual leave then 18 weeks at minimum wage from Centrelink/Government.
