Any moms with elementary kids? Should I make a big deal about this?
Today my son came home saying that he didn’t eat any school lunch today. He’s in first grade and he said they had cheeseburgers for lunch, the cheeseburgers come in a bag and he was having trouble opening the bag so he asked one of the school lunch teachers there to open it for him. One of the teachers told him that she couldn’t open it for him and that he had to learn how to do it himself so she showed him how which I don’t mind that’s fine he does need to learn but he said he tried and the bag was just too hard to open so he didn’t eat any lunch. I thought maybe the teacher would end up helping him in the end seeing that he was struggling to open the bag but I’m just so sad that my son was left without eating and it makes me feel like maybe since we are minorities he was discriminated? 😕 I don’t want to believe that he was being discriminated not in this time we live in but I know stuff like this still happens.
And my son does take snack I always send his snack but I’m just saddened that all his classmates were eating except him and I do send lunch from home but sometimes I don’t send him This week I haven’t I’m recovering from surgery and it’s been very hard getting around specially with a 10 month old and a toddler but what do you ladies think am I over exaggerating?
