I know we haven’t “tried” long enough but due to his deployment in Afghanistan in 2012-13 and surgeries from kidney stones, my husbands concerned that we aren’t getting pregnant because of him.

We’re on 8 cycles of trying- we had a conversation last night and he said he wants to get tested so we can have a better idea of if we can even get pregnant.

So I need advice on calling a clinic:

1. We really just want to get his sperm tested and then go from there.

Can I ask for a cost?

2. Does tricare cover a portion of testing or is this out of pocket?

3. Do I have to go through my Ob for a “referral” or can I just call a clinic that’s near me?
