Anyone suggested to do hysterscopy after d and e?

I lost my daughter at 20w and 5 days 2 weeks ago. Due to unexplained high afp. They said before we ttc they recommend a hysterscopy. Has anyone else been suggested to do this? I have one son whose almost 2 and have not had any other losses and no problems conceiving, so I’m unsure if it’s really needed. Thanks

I had a hysteroscopey when I had my D&C done. While it isn’t necessarily needed it will give confirmation that your uterus is healthy. It may have been suggested if they have some concerns about retained products or scar tissue which can impact fertility.
