Hello everyone! I need some advice. My husband and I just moved to California and after 3 months of moving here he got incarcerated. We used to live on the east coast where it was cheaper to live. I’m struggling with money. I don’t know what to do. My husband had the good job that paid for most things. I just started school for nursing and only working a small side job. I really like what I’m doing but I can’t live with only ma ting enough for bills and not rent. I can’t move In with my in-laws because it’s a toxic environment. I feel alone and lost. I applied for food stamps but that barely covers anything. I was wondering if anyone knows of an agency that could help out with rent?

I also barely have any saving left because little did I know my husband had a credit card and with the monthly payment being high I couldn’t cover it so I payed his card off with our savings.

Also does anyone have any tips on just getting through this rough time?
