So I went to the hospital yesterday because I was having contractions and bloody show and when I went I was told I was only 2cm dilated and everything is good baby heartbeat and everything is good . When I got home still was having contractions I didn’t get any sleep I kept waking up every ten minutes when I felt a contraction, mind you it felt the same but the nurse was saying no contractions wasn’t even showing up but yet I’ve been having them again today and everyone is saying I should go to the hospital again but I don’t want to go for no reason

What should I do ?

40 weeks today

If you live an hr away and they are consistently 10 minutes apart I would go in. But if you live closer than that, I would wait until they were 5 minutes apart

Yeah it's to help take away the pain so the process is more bearable and you can be more aware of everything going on. I didn't know about the shakes either with my first baby but it is a sign of the transitioning phase. I'm glad everything went okay :)

Just keep going in. It’s really okay to go and be sent home. It’s part of the process. You can dilate from a 2 to 10 in mins, hours, or days so I doesn’t hurt to get checked. A good rule is 5-1-1. When contractions are 5 minutes apart, 1 minute long, for 1 hour.

You can. Or wait until they are closer and more consistent. Your choice. Go with your gut.

So should I go since it’s been ten minutes apart and I’ve been waking up every time I get it ?

I was always told not to go in until they’re 5 minutes apart and last one minute long for at least an hour
