How many days after I miss my period should I take a test?

I waited 8 days because honestly I wanted to be sure since it took me 4 months to conceive.. I didn't wanna get my hopes up again, but this time at 8 days late BFP!! I ended up being doubly blessed with 💙💗 twins!

Test when you are late. Take another a week later just in case you ovulated late.

My cycle is 24-26 days… it’s been 4 year I’m trying to conceive. And I have consulted with gynac and started with folic acid last month. This time after 24 days I got little red spotting and then dark brown spotting, n 2nd day little brown spotting. 3rd day nothing 4th day little brown n then it stopped. ….. never in my life until now I had such period…. And no cramps no weakness nothing at all. Then I waited for 10days and tested with evening urine… it turned out to be negative….. today I completed 2 weeks after my period but did not test again …
Not sure wants going on… this days I feel nausea and also in the early morning my legs started paining and as soon as I wake up the leg pain goes… 
Do you guys think I should take a test again….
