i have the kyleena iud and normally after sex i don’t bleed, however when i went to the bathroom i noticed there was blood in my underwear and on the tissue (more blood than usual for spotting but also not as much as a heavy period flow). i didn’t get my period this month yet so i figured i’d wait until morning to see if the bleeding stopped and it hasn’t. there’s no more blood on my underwear but when i stick my finger up there to check for my strings there’s blood on my finger. i haven’t experienced any discomfort so i don’t think my iud has moved but i just wanted a second opinion. btw i’ve had the kyleena for about four months now. i did have sore nipples a couple days in a row, and i did also have some cramping yesterday night (which i do normally get on my first day of my period). do you guys think it’s spotting or bleeding? i know spotting after sex with an iud is abnormal and idk if i should go to the doctor and get it checked out. but i also know sex can sometimes bring your period on sooner and a light flow isn’t abnormal with the kyleena.
